Our Partner Leaders

Through combined years of experience and expertise, our Partner Leaders have facilitated the growth of Browning Communications through listening and responding to our clients' needs. Our ability to provide custom fit solutions is a result of this leadership, and according to our clients, this approach works. Both Company Partners, Dean W. Dean W. O'Brien, President

In 2000, Dean W. O'Brien joined in partnership with Jim Hoffman to form Browning Communications, and brought to this executive role extensive sales, marketing, commercial printing, and accounting experience. "My focus is to provide efficient and complete print and direct mail solutions to all clients; solutions that align with their unique objectives."

Dean holds a strong passion for community and business development. He is the current President of the Daytona Beach Advertising Federation where he promotes networking and growth opportunity for Central Florida's marketing and advertising companies.

Educated at the University of Pittsburgh, Dean stays in touch with his alma mater and his fraternity brothers of Phi Beta Sigma. After college, Dean obtained his CPA and spent several years with the accounting firms Authur Andersen, Citicorp, and Hoechst Celanese before starting his own print business, Florida Multi Media & Graphics.

Favorite pastimes include spending time with his wife and his two sons, playing and coaching basketball, and supporting his sons during basketball and soccer seasons.


Jim Hoffman, V.P. Operations

As one of the founding partners of Browning Communications, Jim Hoffman brings twenty-two years experience in commercial printing.

Having developed integrated marketing campaigns for national partners, Jim understands the concept of Print Management Solutions, and offers his expertise to manage clients' needs from conception to completion. "We must understand each client's needs and marketing objectives in order to assist them in meeting their company goals. That is what separates Browning Communications from the competition."

When not guiding the winning Browning Team, Jim likes to spend time with his wife of twenty-six years and their three children. He is also the current Chair for the West Volusia Florida Hospital Foundation.

Jim is a native of Illinois, and served five years in the U.S. Army where he achieved the rank of sergeant. Since relocating to Longwood, he has coached youth baseball for 12 years and served as President for Altamonte Springs Babe Ruth Baseball for three years. He regularly enjoys golf, softball and bible study, and is still a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears and Bulls.
